Dissociative identity disorder (DID), previously known as multiple personality disorder (MPD), is a mental disorder characterized by at least two distinct and relatively enduring personality states.

Urban wolf is a game that goes through the motions of EDMR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) in a figurative way. EDMR is sometimes used for treating mental illnesses, in this case for treating DID. The goal of this game is to share information and insights about mental illnesses. It's not meant to preach, but to invite people to try to think about people with mental illnesses as just that, and not as as "crazy people". Let's try not to see it as a defining trait, but rather as something that anyone can have. After all, you might know more people with a mental illness than you think you do, and having a more open and accepting attitude might give them the courage to talk about it.
In this game, you'll go through scenes that vary between talks between you and your therapist, and the beach, a "safe space" inside your head. Here you'll meet a few of your other personalities, and slowly you figure out how they came to exist, and why they exist. During this project I spent a lot of time researching DID, reports of patients, reports of psychologists and other scientists, but it's still a difficult topic to tackle.
